Any blogs that would like an exchange of links can communicate by email and we have five blog so you choose one or all. You can also send data you wish posted in any of our blogs, photos, dance information, and anything else that may be of interest to the readers..The main thing is let our dance gang on Oahu know about our dance gang on Oahu. And our gang is increasing day by day and remains in process. That is why we will eventually evolve independent blogs and each one with several Guest Authors. Our special interests are in helping the many good people in those dance organizations that do not have a Web site.

All I can do is provide the platform. With enough Guest Bloggers on one blog we can average many hits per day. From there it is easy to make the blog into an independent entity and the hits will go through the roof. I am not going live forever, so I can resign and devote my time to the "Junk" blogs. Right at this moment, with more information coming in from West Oahu, we are setting a perfect example. Communication to and from the reader/dancers is of prime importance. We do not exist for any other reason. I just found out that Luibueno in Kapolei closed. Please folks, news, good or bad we should post in our blogs. We are going to be Social Media one of these days.

To whom it may concern, one way: newsletters, newspapers, magazines,

radio, TV, email flyers, web sites. They all do their job but there ain't

nuttin' like a blog. The best in social media are nice size blogs for

an area about as big as Oahu if we can get the feedback.

This blog is evolving very nicely as a directory of what the week has to offer for us, the social dancers, I try to cover the calendar week from Sunday to Saturday and I try to publish it every Saturday. It is a work in process and we welcome anyone who is willing to share the week's information with our readers.  I personally cannot get around much anymore but I can blog'em. If am invited, I shall make every effort to be there and blog'em. Hopefully I can get some help to make it a full fledged blog.

Glenn Medeiros is an American of Portuguese ancestry and was born in Lehue, Kauai in 1970. He was an excellent student in the Humanities, Literature, and History and graduated from The University of Hawaii-West Oahu with a BA in History and from the University of Phoenix-Hawaii with an MA in Elementary Education. In May 2014, Medeiros received his doctorate degree in Education from the University of Southern California.  On July 1, 2015, Medeiros became Principal of Saint Louis School in Honolulu and in 2017 its President and CEO.  Medeiros and his wife, Tammy, have been married since 1996. They have a son, Chord, and a daughter, Lyric.

I, of course, will need someone to add a little additional information of the party to me direct or by email and I will post the blog. Then the photos are very important. I take my camera and pass it around and each can take 5 to 10 pics. You want more or less it up to you. I try to get them into the most appropriate collage.  The picture taker will eventually find that two people in the photo are better than one. Three are better than two but 19 are not better than 18. The final decision is up to the photographer. Whatever we get in outside feedback, the hits go through the roof.

Week Ending Saturday, February 23rd, 2019

The Hit Analysis for this month is not so good, but the entire blog sphere for the year is in a transition period. It should standardize by the middle March. And we are still seeking the very valuable Guest Blogger who will help set direction for any of the blogs. Clones we don't need. They must all be different. However I will try to recap all the blogs in our blog sphere and any others that would like to get in even if only for the free publicity. Feedback is still the most important ingredient needed, because we will have something to share with our fellow dancers.

As a consequence, we believe that the dancers need the dance information and the photo contributors in our blogs, Everyone can observe as participants, and help to guide our friends and fellow dancers to a deeper understanding of what is really important in our dance environment. The problem is the "commitment" and they think there is a commitment. There is no commitment, we leave it open. So we must slowly make them aware that they can share info only when they damn well please.

The "to be seen" groups are the competition and exhibition dancers and they are doing very well. Perhaps they do not need the help of ordinary dance blogs. We try not to bother them too much and long ago they decided not they would rather not be bothered. They will perhaps be covered more thoroughly in their own Blog and Web sites which are very well designed. Then there was a new "class" that was developing strongly in the nineties and which is now tapering off. The "viewers," the audience for the new Show Business of "Ballroom." New Divisions such as Cabaret, Acrobatic and Theatre arose. All show business and meant to be seen. By whom? By the "Viewers" of course.

There are still many different views of dancing on Oahu. We should accept that we are just additional participants in this great blogging. It is likely that some of the hard facts may rub off on the rest of us and we will all have a better acceptance of our differences. And then we must be willing to share the dance items of interest with our readers. Together we will give the readers what they want day after day. So come one, come all. We are grateful that this year we are not getting outside meddlers that were helping to screw up the works

Read our blogs and you can still see a sameness in many of them. I am almost the only one. We need many more differences of opinion in our blogs. You, the reader/dancers are the only ones that can provide that difference. Pick a blog, anyone you like and write any thing you think is relevant. Dance items of interest or photos of our fellow dancers.

We should also recognize the great teaching by so many of our amateur teachers in the American Style of Dance. So many good dancers out there that have learned to dance the same simple movements over and over again in sheer joy to their favorite music. This definitely cannot be understood by the Rootzi Tootzis, never will. But you will notice that our social dancers are standing up a little straighter.
