Back On Track

All my blogs came under attack from the European Union about something. I do not have anything to do with Europe. However, I am very much interested in supporting the social dance scene on Oahu. Finally got this cleared away on Tuesday. This blog still in third place but it should be closer to the bottom blogs.  Now we just need feedback from our fellow dancers to make this the best blog in the Pacific. Not possible?

“Music does not need the language of words for it has movements
of dance to do its translation.”

As a weekly blog, it should have some fairly pertinent and timely information. I expect to publish every Saturday for the Calendar Week starting on Sunday. If you have anything going, email it in and I will post it. We could develop quite a nice party week and starting with anything on Oahu. The North Shore, the Waianae Coast, Honolulu and the rest of the outskirts.

but only for those who seek it.”

Dance Week 5/19

For a start and seeing that this has never been done in a blog in Hawaii, not too bad. So as far as I am concerned it is a new beginning for the entire blogosphere. I can already see the advances on the total hits of all the blogs, slow but sure and it is only me. The links are definitely important but not as important as the information and photo contributors. They are the real meat and potatoes of social media and they must be willing to share. And of course, we must accept those that cannot share with their fellow dancers on these blogs.

Social dancers are well aware of an old saying. "Dancing with feet is one thing,
but dancing with the heart is quite another."

"What A Wonderful World" by Bruddah Iz

Anybody is welcomed in this social media on Oahu. We are not Twitter or Facebook and not likely to reach Nigeria. But we are beginning to communicate with all our fellow dancers on the Island of Oahu and a little beyond., of course, our coming Guest Blogger will be from West Oahu. This will all take time. When I get some help we will have a much better thing that we can call Social Media. Music, Videos, Couple of month, Dance Icons for our posters and more. I will need some help there. It all comes under Public Relations and some may think "who needs it?" That is just fine with me, as long as everyone knows that it was their decision. Meanwhile we can have a ball dancing up a storm.

Dance Week 5/12

There is no one in the entire central Pacific that has the stats on dance organization like I do. First of course, is the fact that I have had over ten blogs active at one time. That with a few Web sites and three other blog sites with counters have given me "information." I quickly discovered that a web or blog site with single digit average per day hits is not worth it. Gradually the dance Web sites "lost" their counters. I do not know presently of any dance web site with a counter.

“Social dancers may feel that where life used to feel overcrowded, it now feels boundless as the sky. Where we used to feel shackled, we are now free to dance.”

once you learn to fake that, the rest is easy."
