The Dance Week

"The story so far: In the beginning, the universe was created. This has made a
lot of people very angry and it has been widely regarded as a bad move."

Meanwhile on Oahu we are trying to establish a "Schedule Blog." A schedule or a timetable as a basic tool, it consists of a list of times at which possible dancing tasks, events, or actions are intended to take place, or of a sequence of dance events in the chronological order in which such things are intended to take place. The process of creating a schedule - deciding how to order these tasks and how to commit resources between the variety of possible tasks in a blog - is called a schedule blog.

A blog that intends to be responsible for making a particular schedule of dance events is rare and we are making the attempt in Dance And Live on Oahu. But of course, this is not for everyone. Many do not need to be included in our schedules. They have web sites or are connected with other blog sites. They have packed houses at every dance, so we must have an understanding of why they do not need us. Meanwhile we start with what we got and you can email info; letram@gmx.com.

Weekly, Over and Out.

The interest is sorely lacking and I have no choice, I am running out of time. I will delete it before the end of the month. We have two bottom blogs that need feedback. Latin Rhythms and Dancing Nights.

“You may say I'm a dreamer, but I'm not the only one. I hope someday
you'll join us. And the world will live as one.”  ― John Lennon

These two blogs still have a chance when they get a little feedback from the readers. Patience. You got a computer? Use it for our dance information on Oahu. If you don't see what you want, email something you are willing to share with the reader/dancers. There will be the "Fabulous Five" blogs left to choose from.

"Morning Dew" by Melveen Leed

Three steps to get in, just to see how your words look in the blog but anyone can skip whatever and go to the top. First is comments at the end of every blog. Second is information and photo contributors. Email, items of interest to the dancer and photos of the dance occasions. And the number one spot is for the Guest Bloggers, who in effect have their own blog within the blog of their choice. The can get in, post, publish, save and get out without saying "boo" to anyone. And they will have ready made readers anxious to read their pearls of dance wisdom.

The New Midweekly

This is the first mid weekly with a new format which will change according to the readers. So what's doing this weekend? I still have made little contact. I don't know much but the biggest and the best is the Anniversary dance Wahiawa Ballroom Dance Club at the Halemano Camp 808.

“Social dancers know that life is too short to waste any amount of time
on wondering what other people think about them."

I need more information of any scheduling the Week, Sunday through Saturday. And we all know that on the week ends everybody making so much money, no need to inform the dancers. For sure no one has ever done this before and some have told me that it will never work. So what do I know? But I am going to find out soon. Meanwhile if you got something you want in, just email it in. I will put in whatever.

"Tiny Bubbles" by Don Ho

If the week is about buckling down and earning enough money to buy a pair of jeans and wraps that contain avocado, the weekend is about trying hard to actually live. This is the type of energy that infiltrates every Friday; an energy that can power even the most bah of humbugs to an unexpectedly memorable evening. Friday night is the night when people are out to prove themselves. Let's dance, clear eyes, full hearts and let’s booze. And then there is Saturday, an old standby that never fails.

"How do you make a tissue dance? Just put a little boogie on it."

New Weekly

It is not working out, I made the mistake in not including any dance group. I said West Oahu and I did not get enough feedback to spread the word. Those that have web sites are getting packed houses, so they do not need additional public relations from any blog. They certainly have a right to their opinions. I have changed the date to publish on Saturday and use the calendar week, with Sunday being the first day. Any one that wishes to get on the calendar can email the information. I will also have a midweek blog to flower up some of the weekends.

“Dancing doesn’t give rise to anything in us that isn’t already there.
It simply stirs our curious consciousness and sparks a fire
that illuminates who we have always wanted to be.”

The blog was not picked up by the search engines so we must wait for that and the hits are not rolling in. Round dancing is unknown in West Oahu as far as I know. There must be some on Hawaii somewhere I just don't know yet where. Square dancing yes, plenty in town and we don't have a clue about Triangle dancing. There are plenty of good people on Oahu that like to move to the music of their choice. But we are not clones, we have our independent opinions and many will differ. No Hu Hu.

Week 6, late

I went to routine check up with my Doctor at the VA, Saturday afternoon. and found out the infection in my leg was not getting better with the lotions applied. I had not received the oral antibiotics and they sent me direct to Emergency at Tripler. Waited two hours and finally got a doctor, who recommended intra-venus anti biotic, immediately and would require a couple days stay. Just got out this afternoon and don't feet too bad. And the first thing I must do is catch up.

“Social dancers know that we only live once and we are not perfect

Week 5a

This is the second week with the new weekend blog. So what's doing this weekend? We still have made little contact. More information available for the Week days. On the week ends everybody making so much money, no need to inform the dancers. No one will tell me anything, maybe next week. For sure no one has ever done this before and some have told me that it will never work. So what do I know? But I am going to find out soon. Meanwhile if you got something you want in, just email it in. I will put in whatever.

"Walk With Me Through Paradise." by Melveen Leed

"Just listened to Autumn Leaves by Eva Marie Cassidy, an American singer and guitarist known for her interpretations of jazz and blues, she was virtually unknown outside her native Washington, D.C. She died of melanoma in 1996. I've heard many good singers on this song...beautifully. They sang it. This woman owned it. She took it apart, re-assembled it, infused it with her soul, her passions, her dreams and gave it to us. It was as if I had never heard it before. Her love for the song aroused my love for listening, she danced with me."

How many professional dance teachers does it take to change a light bulb?
Four: One to handle the bulb and three to tell him how much better they could have done it.

Week 5

It is still a struggle and I still do not know. When I am sure that the clubs are not interested I will drop the Blog. It is not dead at this point but it remains a question mark.  A weekly blog is new, not everyone knows about it yet and it may not be back in the search engines yet. And I just added another blog to the Sunday weekly, on Thursdays, specializing on the Week End attractions on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. So what do I know? The readers will decide and they are pretty well informed with the other dance blogs. You want something in it, email it in.

"Some times I have a hundred ideas all at one time and
if only one of them turns out good, I am OK."

"Welcome To The Jungle" by Guns N' Roses 1987

There are many Webmasters for the many dance clubs, studios and night clubs out here on Oahu that are aware of this but they have a world of their own and we must respect it. Meanwhile I have my work cut out for me. I must rustle the bushes for Information Contributors, Photo Contributors and a few Guest Authors for all the blogs. According to my stats we are at the point of diminishing returns with mostly SOS, (Same Old Shit.) So come one, come all, the readers are awaiting and need whatever information you may wish to share.

"Social dancers are sure that this country is just fine. But there is mounting
evidence that some of our leaders are completely screwed up."
