Week Three

This is the third week and I must face it. Tough going and I was told that a weekly blog would not work because it had never been done before. Makes Sense. Most people do not see this blog for advancing their public relations. No Hu Hu, I understand that this has never been done before with a blog so I don't know but neither does anyone else. So I have no choice but to try it and I intend to publish every Sunday for West Oahu and including the North Shore until I know what I am doing. The dance highlights of the week - and as always I am open to suggestions. I will ignore the one that says, "dump it."

"Social dancers believe that love is a song, dance a celebration, - a song of
gratitude, a dance of thankfulness, a celebration for no reason at all."

"From Here To Eternity" by Englebert Humperdinck

The basic moves are the regular moves made in most dances. regular even step walks, rock step, chassé, slow and quick step and the different music beats that will be followed. We don't even have to speak the same language verbally because we can communicate through the rhythms of the music. The Gold or advance division are definitely for people interested in exhibitions and competitions. If there are at least 600 documented steps in each dance, that leaves over 500 for their use. And we all agree that they do very well indeed. For our partner social dancing we don't need. We want to enjoy moving to our favorite music.

“Social dancers are not afraid of death, they are afraid of an unlived life.
You don't have to live forever, you just have to dance and live.”
