The Rail Disaster

An Amtrak passenger train on its inaugural trip on a new service route derailed Monday morning near Dupont, Washington, spilling multiple cars off an Interstate 5 overpass and killing six people. The deaths "are all contained to the train," said Ed Troyer, the Pierce County Sheriff's Office spokesman. "It's pretty horrific." Several motorists in vehicles that were struck by the fallen train cars suffered injuries, but there were no fatalities among people in those vehicles, the sheriff's office said. At least 77 people were taken to hospitals, authorities said, including victims who were able to walk off the train.

On the left: San Francisco after they built the Rail. Then it screwed up like many had predicted, not enough riders and too much cost in maintenance. On the Right, San Francisco after they tore the rail down. beautiful again and with more buses they are running just fine. Meanwhile the Present Rail Party in Honolulu is making millions and millions of dollars daily on an obsolete system and they want more.

Our Rail Disaster continues and no one mentions Rapid Transit anymore because it will be slower. But right now they have last century thinking, "Let them stand, fill the buses up, - bottom line." "Uncomfortable" is never taken into consideration. Throughout the mainland their priorities are how to get the people off their cars on the streets and highway and onto public transportation. The Department of Transportation is never going to beat that by making them "uncomfortable" on the bus.
