Nearing the end of the year

Here's wishing all of our reader/dancers a safe and happy holiday season. And with it having a bright and joyful new year. Hoping that some of you will be willing to share a little dance information with our fellow dancers. Perhaps we can make our blogs into real Social Media. For our blogs, those happy dance occasions are the ones because they are your unique opinion. That is the value for the rest of the readers.

"Perhaps, our business in life is not to succeed,
but to continue to fail in good spirits."

Not mine, or his, or hers, they are yours and that is what makes blogging so unique. You may use it as a political soapbox or a breaking-news outlet. It could be a collection of your own private thoughts or memos to our dance world. Intersperse and balanced with photos and text, makes a perfect blog. This is going to take a while for our readers to understand but it is coming and the hits will go through the roof!

So we need photos of our dance scene. It is not necessary to get the top wheels of the club or the exhibition dancers, those are taken care of by Web sites and real photographers. We want candid photos. People sitting down, or just in a crowd or at a table. You can send them to Flicker, Instagram, Picasa or Photobucket if you wish. Facebook gets 50 million photos per day. Those contain photo albums. Big, Big Difference. But ours are local blogs and our people are the ones that will see them.

"We dance for laughter, we dance for tears,
we dance for madness, we dance for fears,
we dance for hopes, we dance for screams,
we are the dancers, we create the dreams."
